After graduating from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin Ireland, with a first class honours degree in Textile Design, Jane Carroll moved to New York, where she worked as a designer for Gear Inc., designing Children's Wallpapers and Fabrics.

From Gear, Jane moved to the Conran Design group in London, under the direction of Terence Conran. Here Jane designed a wide range of products including ceramics, textiles, rugs, Children's furniture, packaging, wrapping paper and bedlinen. Whilst there, Jane won the international design competition to design the famous Regent Street Christmas lights.
Four years later, Jane went freelance. It was then that she launched her first Children's range which included her now trade mark Quilts. She received orders from many of the best shops worldwide. These included Harrod's , Heal's and The Conran Shop in London, Saks and Neiman Marcus in New York, and Brown Thomas and Avoca in Dublin.

In 2004, Jane's dream came true, when she opened her first ever shop in Blackrock, Co.Dublin. It is a showcase for her bespoke range of Quilts, (which can be personalised with the child's name, date of birth etc.) and bedlinen, as well as a treasure trove of unique gifts handpicked from around the world by Jane for Chidren 0-8 years.

In 2014, Jane moved to a much larger premises on the main street in Blackrock. She designed the shop interior herself ,and commissioned local craftsman Brian Kehoe to create a unique Children's world - The shop units resemble Doll's Houses, including Georgian windows and Doors to echo the beautiful Georgian architecture in Dublin. They are decorated with Jane's own wallpaper designs. The beautiful floor tiles are imported from France.

The Jane Carroll Design shop is a totally unique experience! It has become a total destination shop for the discerning customer looking for something different from a New Baby present up to 8 years old. In 2015, the shop was voted into the final of the Irish Times "Best Shops in Ireland" competition. Jane is  now delighted to unveil a brand new website , where you can  order on line from the comfort of your own home!
